From tmd@iac.es Mon Jan 21 16:11:31 2008 Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2008 16:11:11 +0000 From: tmd@iac.es To: Kieran O'Brien Cc: Vik Dhillon Subject: Fwd: RXTE Schedule: 93082 Wk 626 These are our RXTE windows for the ULTRASPEC run on E0748-676 cheers, Teo ----- Mensaje reenviado de RXTE SOF Planners ----- Fecha: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 16:39:00 -0500 (EST) De: RXTE SOF Planners Responder-A: xteplan@bigbang.gsfc.nasa.gov Asunto: RXTE Schedule: 93082 Wk 626 Dear TEODORO MUNOZ-DARIAS, ANNOUNCEMENT added on May 31, 2000: Due to the loss of the propane layer on PCU 0, EDS modes which do not give detector ID may need to be changed. If you require a change in your modes please contact the SOF immediately. More details are available at: http://rxte.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/xte/pca_news.html ANNOUNCEMENTadded on Mar 3, 2000: The XTE SOF announces a service providing rapid ftp access to FITS files made from near-production quality data. FITS packages based on realtime data (which can be incomplete) are still available as before. See the section below on SOF Services. Your proposal 93082 has been scheduled for observation by RXTE. The relevant section(s) of the short-term schedule have been included below for your information. This schedule is subject to replanning in the event of TOOs or instrument safety concerns. The complete short-term schedule can always be found at: http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/xte/SOF/sts.html The RXTE SOF offers several services for accessing data. These are completely separate from and in addition to the "official" data distribution through XSDC. ACCESS TO SOF SERVICES: - access key for proposal 93082: 386408064 - SOF web site: http://xtesof.nascom.nasa.gov/ DESCRIPTION OF SOF SERVICES (all available on the SOF web site, above): - Production FITS data: + FITS files made from production data are now made available on the SOF's ftp server. The SOF-made production FITS files for a given day are typically made available the next morning, although they can be delayed, depending on when the SOF actually receives the data. All SOF distributed FITS files (realtime and production) now include both standard modes and all the science modes. Note: These production files are not the final version of the production data which will be available to you. The final version, which passes thorugh more checks for completeness, will be made available some time later through the GOF download area. The SOF provides this service simply as a convenience mechanism for getting data out as quickly as possible. Also, note that the production files provided by the SOF will differ from those distributed by the GOF. The directory structure within the FITS tar file is different, and the clock and orbit files are not yet provided. The merging of data across day boundaries should now be solved for SOF-made data. SOF-made FITS files can be found at the following FTP sites: Realtime SOF-made data ftp://xtesof.nascom.nasa.gov/pub/FITS/ Production SOF-made data ftp://xtesof.nascom.nasa.gov/pub/FITS/production/ - Remote Observing: + Allows a user to display science data-monitoring GUIs on their machine while their observation is occurring. - *CHANGED* Realtime Standard-mode and Science-mode FITS access: + Within a few hours of an observation's end (and usually much sooner!), FITS files are available on the SOF's FTP server, containing ALL data modes. The files are available for at least 30 days at ftp://xtesof.nascom.nasa.gov/pub/FITS/ ANNOUNCEMENT: Added March 27, 2006 starting today the encryption scheme will change. All data can be decrypted ONLY with recent version of gpg (1.06 or higher) or pgp (6.0 or higher) using the same passwords RXTE Schedulers c/o xteplan@athena.gsfc.nasa.gov Please be sure to send all correspondence regarding scheduling to the xteplan mailing list, and not to an individual scheduler.
